Workforce doesn't record how often an audit is expected, so it has to be set here. Anything left as Not tracked is completely ignored — it will never be flagged, and never counted. That's the right setting for anything without a fixed cadence.
Night means the audit is done by the night shift and normally finished the following morning. Ticking it moves those early-morning completions back to the night they belong to, so the tracker doesn't declare them missing every morning. It also changes the deadline from 20:00 to 08:00 the next day.
Every time the userscript reads the Workforce page it logs what it found. If parsed drops to zero while the page still has audits on it, Workforce has changed its layout and the script needs updating.
